What We Are About
A society where people with mental health conditions have final say over their lives and more influence and representation in their communities.
|
To create a compassionate and inclusive environment with opportunities for economic advancements, community building, and advocacy for people in recovery from mental health conditions.
|
Whole Person Mental Healthcare:
We advocate for more accessible and higher quality mental health care that addresses the whole person.
We are committed to finding solutions prior to an issue escalating to a crisis situation.
Belonging:
We work to create a safe, compassionate community with open and honest communication
and a commitment to listening. We want it to be clear that individuals with mental health
conditions are not alone in their recovery regardless of the path they chose.
Collaboration:
We recognize that mental health conditions do not exist separate from other issues
that individuals’ face in their lifetime. Discrimination, stigma, and social inequalities
have a dramatic impact on mental health and we seek to have more equal access
to culturally appropriate and inclusive resources.
Discernment:
We listen to the wisdom that comes with lived experience. We trust individuals with
mental health conditions because they are the experts on their lives and experiences.
Purpose:
We support others as they explore individual pursuits and deeper meaning.
We provide opportunities for meaningful activities and invite people to relax and laugh.
